But his embarrassment was multiplied 10-fold by his attempt to retrieve the situation and prevent Avai doubling their lead against promotion rivals in Brazil’s Serie B, Boa.
Just when it looks like he has bought enough time to let his defender get back on the line, the covering man plonks the ball right back on the ‘keeper’s head.
Chin up, João Carlos. This is surely as bad as it gets.
