VIDEO: A QB throwing the football like it’s a wedding bouquet

Tumwater High School’s Jayden Croft becomes the latest QB to successfully attempt a behind the back pass.

FOLLOWING ON FROM yesterday’s bizarre 30-yard behind the back pass, new footage has emerged that lends more to a wedding video than a football game.

Having just scored a touchdown, Tumwater High School needed a two-point conversion to tie the game late in the fourth quarter.

What followed was one of the more unusual pass attempts you’re ever likely to see.

The question is why?

Cheers lads. I knew why he did (to sell the run, play action, etc). I was asking WHY he did it, as in there are hundreds of ways to score a two-point conversion without throwing the ball with your back turned away from the play.

  • The reason why is to fake out the defence. By turning his back and never returning to face the defence the QB is effectively selling a run until the point the ball leaves his hands. I’m not sure it’s very effective, but that’s the reason why
