16-15 AHEAD OF New Zealand with just over 10 minutes left, Welsh fans could have been forgiven for thinking they were heading for victory against the number one team in world rugby.
This moment of class from out-half Beauden Barrett turned the tide, however, with the Kiwis ultimately running out 34-16 winners. It didn’t look like there was too much on for the 23-year-old playmaker down the right, but his touch with the boot was perfectly weighted.
I enjoy seen wales and gatland struggle soooo much.
Would like to see Madigan or Zebo pull this off.
I’d like to see Mike Ross do this.
Any of the forwards would be entertaining.
i swear it’s like he knew the ball was going to bounce his way. i’d say he’s been practicing this move on the training field so that he could know exactly where it would bounce. Either that, or he knows that was a fluke, in fairness.
You could say halfpenny stalled a bit there…if he committed to gettin the ball before the bounce he probably would have got to it.
It says a lot about Gats when he dumps an injury prone player just returning straight into the starting 15 against the best nation in the world.
