That’s exactly the fate the superb Bordeaux wing Metuisela Talebula suffered against Toulon last weekend, when centre Julien Rey floated a wobbly pass over the Fijian’s head.
The hugely in-form Mathieu Bastareaud didn’t need a second invitation and crunched into the Bordeaux man to spark a turnover of possession. Toulon went on to record a crucial 22-20 to maintain second place in the league.
