Barcelona bound? AC Milan rule themselves out of Fabregas running

Player said to be joining “a different club”. We wonder who that could be.

AC MILAN VICE-PRESIDENT Adriano Galliani has said his club will not be signing Cesc Fabregas, according to reports.

Galliani said Fabregas will join “a different club” and also dismissed rumours linking Real Madrid midfielder Kaka with a return to the club, and said there was “zero possibility” that they would sign Marek Hamsik.

Milan enjoyed a successful season last year, winning their first Serie A title since 2004, and finishing six points ahead of bitter rivals Inter.

Meanwhile, Fabregas continues to be linked with a move away from Arsenal – a transfer which appears inevitable after the Spaniard was left out of the club’s promo video for the upcoming season.

The club previously rejected a £27m bid for the player, with rumours of a new £35m bid gathering pace.

Fabregas previously left Barcelona to join Arsenal in 2003, making his debut as a 16 year old, playing alongside vastly more experienced players such as Patrick Viera and Gilberto Silva.

He went on to make 212 appearances for the club, scoring 35 goals, but has constantly been linked with a return to Barcelona amid rumours of Fabregas’ growing unrest at Arsenal’s failure to win silverware.
