IRISH WORLD CUP stars Jonny Sexton and Rob Kearney have been named in the Leinster side that face Edinburgh this evening.
Leinster have, however, opted to rest some of their key players ahead of next week’s game against Munster, with Brian O’Driscoll, Gordon D’Arcy, Eoin Reddan, Cian Healy, Seán O’Brien, Jamie Heaslip and Shane Jennings among the absentees.
Meanwhile, their opponents also boast some returning World Cup stars in Chris Paterson, Nick De Luca, Allan Jacobsen, Ross Ford and Geoff Cross.
Despite suffering a poor run of form of late, Edinburgh coach Michael Bradley was optimistic that his side’s home advantage could make a difference. He also told reporters that there would no chance of his star players suffering from a World Cup hangover.
“They’re good professionals and are fully switched back into Edinburgh Rugby mode so there’s been a great buzz around training and we’re certainly looking forward to seeing them play against Leinster tomorrow night.”
The game takes place at Murrayfield and will kick-off at 7.30pm this evening.
