IRELAND SKIPPER BRIAN O’Driscoll is set to feature in the province’s RaboDirect PRO12 clash at home to the Ospreys on Friday evening.
O’Driscoll underwent surgery, to correct a neck and shoulder injury, after Ireland’s Rugby World Cup exit in October but has been given the all-clear by Leinster staff to return to the fray.
“Brian O’Driscoll is progressing well after stepping up his rehab in recent weeks and may be fit for selection this week. Club captain Leo Cullen is ahead of schedule and may also complete his comeback to the panel following Achilles surgery in late January,” a Donnybrook statement reads.
After a bruising four games on the trot for Ireland’s rugby stars, Mike Ross will be assessed by the medical team after suffering a shoulder injury in the rout at Twickenham on Saturday.
“The province are hopeful that the Cork tight-head prop will return for the away trip to Munster,” they say.
