WELCOME TO HELL. Or as we non-Milanistas around TheScore.ie Towers like to call it: our Super Spooky Seasonal House of Horrors!
Scary, innit?
You never know what’s around the corner at SSSHH; could Toto Schillaci be lurking at a tight angle? Perhaps Vincent Clerc is waiting to pounce if you put a single foot wrong?
Mostly though, SSSHH is a bit of a reminder that sometimes things go wrong in the wonderful world of sport. Sometimes, that thing we love makes us get stitches – lots and lots of stitches.
So be prepared to be really, really scared and stuff, because some of the athletes in here are disgusting (but others are really nice, so don’t run too far).
Mwa ha ha ha ha….
That’s just your knee
Well, it’s Andrea Masi’s knee actually. The Italy centre tweeted this “Bella” image of the joint after undergoing surgery on his anterior and posterior ligaments.
Head of Frankenstein
Edmonton Oilers winger Taylor Hall took a skate – yeah, an ice skate – to the head in the NHL last year.
Surgical spirit
Envy was not the word that sprung to mind when Derval O’Rourke showed the workings of her surgeon as she set about recovering from an operation on her Achilles in August.
What’s that, you haven’t winced enough? How about two little bits of bone in a glass case of emotion?
Yikes! Good thing his job doesn’t need him to use his hands or anything…
Oh, wait. This is New York Knicks star Amar’e Stoudemire’s hand.
The NBA power forward powerfully (and super sensibly) punched a fire extinguisher after New York’s game two play-off defeat to Miami.
Aaaaaghhhh! It’s hideous… and look at that scar!
So the Wayne Rooney jokes go. Here’s how the Manchester United and England striker looked after a run in with his old mate Phil Jones.
T-Bowe time
Tommy Bowe's broken bone in his hand brought up a lovely scar. Sure, it's not as big or deep as some of the other horrors in here, but SSSHH doesn't want you to get desensitised.

And anyway, Tommy looks happy enough to be here.

Seriously, stop scrolling NOW if you're eating or queasy!
Okay, you've put the fork down?
Right, we've warned you before but feel it merits a little extra....
Barry Lynch was playing in the Meath Junior A football final in October and collided with his brother to cause this. Ah, sure the best scars always come from your brother.
Ulster says 'NOSE'
Plasticine and bone are not materials you would normally confuse. But when Saracens flanker Ernst Joubert came off the field against Ulster in last year's Heineken Cup quarter-final, his nose was doing his best to look like a remouldable children's toy.
Never neglect your middle finger!
Some people are not so lucky.
Nasty, huh? Here's Michelle Jenneke rehabbing a hamstring strain to help you get over the anguish
