IAGO ASPAS NETTED his first goal for Liverpool as Brendan Rodgers’ side overcame the challenge of Oldham to take their place in the FA Cup fourth round where they will play either Bournemouth or Burton Albion.
The Spaniard volleyed in this 54th minute opener.

Elswhere, Sunderland overcame third-tier Carlisle United 2-1 at the Stadium of Light to take their place in round four.

Still in the hat
Port Vale threw away a two-goal lead as Plymouth Argyle claimed a 2 – 2 draw to force a replay.
Gavin Tomlin and Tom Pope opened up the lead for the League One side. However, the work was far from done and League Two Argyle battled back in the second half with goals from Reuben Reid and a lovely chip over the keeper by Ben Purrington.
