'Arry's transfer window: Vidal's treadmill run gets rumour mill whirring

Plus, talk of Khedira to Arsenal (or Bayern), Brendan Rodgers wheels and deals, and Atletico are in for absolutely everyone.

THE WORLD CUP is a distant memory at this stage meaning Premier League enthusiasts only have transfer speculation, pre-season friendlies and the odd European fixture to keep you going until the season starts in a couple of weeks. However, QPR boss Harry Redknapp, a man who knows a thing or two about buying and selling players, is here to help us with a daily round-up of the biggest and best rumours from around Europe.

Borini still chasing Black Cats: Or maybe it’s the other way around, but in any case the Liverpool striker’s move to Sunderland has been put back on the front burner by the north east club. Liverpool have already accepted a £14m offer, but a hamstring injury seemed to put the brakes on the move, until now, says the Daily Mail.

Mr. Lamela. Shabba! Spurs’ disappointing big signing of this time last year is one of many, many reported targets for Atletico Madrid, but we like the fit of the Argentine in La Liga. Which the Guardian say will happen if the champions can stump up over £20m for him.

More Spurs: So, Morgan Schneiderlin has thrown his toys all the way out of the pram and could be willing to go on strike, bawl and roll around the supermarket aisle until his move to Spurs goes through.

Today, the Arturo Vidal to United deal is… ON:

After being momentarily dead in the water last week, rumours are picking up pace again. Metro say the Chilean has passed a medical with Manchester United.

That’s the easy part sorted. Finding a figure that Juventus find agreeable might take some time longer – though TuttoSport reckon the clubs have ‘verbally’ agreed an €80 million (£63.4m) fee. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but Jim White will be shouting this deal as confirmed some day.

And that money comes from…? It looks increasingly likely that Javier Hernandez will be packing his bags as he finally gets fed up with the prospect of making an impact off the bench. The Mexican welcomed interest from Inter Milan and Diego Simeone is also a fan.

And, United fans, you may want to sit down for this:, The Star say that Napoli have somehow been lured into paying £18m for Marouane Fellaini. A loan is more likely, we feel.

Sporting chance for Carvalho: Reports in Portugal say that Sporting Lisbon have put William Carvalho on the transfer list and, so long-term admirers Arsenal may not have to shell out £35m to trigger his buy-out clause after all.

Aspas biting back to warn Moreno: As The Star report Liverpool’s move to tempt Sevilla midfielder Alberto Moreno, one of their own is warning him off it. Curse you, Iago Aspas.

Here’s lookin’ at you, Khed: The Mirror reckon that Bayern Munich’s aim of signing Sami Khedira on a free next season is good news for Arsena because they’re willing to pay cash now. That may well be Real Madrid’s preference, but as much as German footballers love Arsenal these days, they’ll always love Bayern more.

Cavani still in love with Paris: PSG’s Uruguayan striker L’Equipe “I am sure to stay.” Just in case United fans completely lost the run of themselves.

Atletico Madrid are the papers’ first port of call for any player they can’t quite drum up a move for. The Star say Santi Cazorla is Atleti’s 10 millionth target of the summer.
