'I'm happy to stay here!' - Man United target Vidal content at Juventus

MANCHESTER UNITED TARGET Arturo Vidal appears to be slipping further and further from the Premier League club’s reach, with the Chilean midfielder having been included on Juventus’ pre-season tour.

The 27-year-old has been repeatedly linked with a move to join Louis van Gaal’s squad this summer, although his Italian club have insisted that the midfielder is not on the market.

However, sources at Juventus have previously indicated that they would consider selling Vidal if he forcefully stated that he desired a transfer. In that regard, United’s hopes appear to have been dealt a blow by the latest photograph uploaded to the player’s Instagram account.

The image shows Vidal with his Juve teammates as they begin a two-week tour of Asia, with an accompanying caption of “I’m happy to stay here! #jakarta”.

While Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez may not look too impressed in the background of Vidal’s selfie, the strong suggestion that he will be staying put in Turin this season will come as a major boost to ‘The Old Lady’.

Former Leverkusen and Colo Colo midfielder Vidal played a starring role as Juventus claimed their 30th Serie A title last season.

Man United have brought in Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw this summer, although it is believed that manager van Gaal would like to swell the quality and depth of his defensive ranks before the new Premier League campaign gets underway.

Whatever happens in this game, one team is gonna win or draw. It’s really that simple.

Even though United have taken strides forward, they won’t win the league while they have a clearly outdated player at right back.He needs any contract offers ripped up in front of his eyes. And Sanchez can join him also. Both have been so, so bad today.

@Gavin Mitchell: ya I tend to agree. Young is just filling a gap. I think if this game was on in old Trafford dalot might have started. Ole probably doesn’t want to throw him in the deep end. United need two full backs like what city did. A more mobile holding midfielder than matic and a replacement for Sanchez who just can’t seem to get going. He’s costing them a fortune

@Anthony: agreed. And although s doing very well, they need a big upgrade on Lukaku, he’s not cutting the mustard

@Anthony: Sanchez is going to be a real problem, I don’t think he is going to cut the mustard, but what will they do with him?? No one is going to offer him the wages he is on at Utd, so I think selling him is out of the question, why the hell would he leave if he is earning what he’s been reported to be earning.
