Facepalm

Is this the worst play in the history of American football? Yes. Yes it is.

Andre Parker is destined to be known as “Wrong Way Parker” for the rest of his playing days.

KENT STATE UNIVERSITY kicked off their college football season with a win against Towson on Thursday night but it’s a game that will be remembered for one moment of sheer madness rather than the 41-21 scoreline.

Towards the end of the first half Kent State punted the football away but when it was fumbled and became live, linebacker Andre Parker was quickest to react and returned the punt for 58 yards.

In the wrong direction.

Nobody really seemed to know what was going on, not least the Towson players who tackled him into touch rather than let him return the ball all the way to his own endzone for a safety.

And so the legend of “Wrong Way Parker” was born.
