And it’s off… tomorrow’s Fairyhouse card falls victim to the weather

Course waterlogged, officials say after inspection this afternoon.

TOMORROW EVENING’S FLAT meeting at Fairyhouse has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.

“Following a course inspection by Turf Club Officials, the course was found to be unfit for racing due to waterlogging. As a consequence the fixture scheduled for Wednesday, 4th July has been cancelled,” a statement reads.

The seven-card fixture was due to feature the Group Three Brownstown Stakes. The meeting has been rescheduled for next Tuesday.
