TIPPERARY ARE GIVING an inter-county debut to defender Kieran Bergin for their Allianz Hurling League Final with Kilkenny on Sunday.
Tipp have thrown the 26-year-old into their half-back line for the clash at Nowlan Park, following his impressive run of games for DIT in the Fitzgibbon Cup this year.
Bergin’s inclusion is one of five changes in the Tipperary team from the team that defeated Dublin in the semi-finals. Darren Gleeson replaces Brendan Cummins in goal and Paul Curran comes in at corner back, with Paddy Stapleton dropping out.

Brendan Maher has been named as captain Shane McGrath midfieled partner. Seamus Callanan goes from corner forward against the Dubs to a starting spot at left half forward this weekend. Eoin Kelly is back in the starting line-up and at full forward. Conor O’Brien and Darren Gleeson are the other new faces, with Jason Forde and Donagh Maher losing out.
The Allianz Hurling League Final throws in at 3:30pm.
