THE FOOTBALL WORLD is bracing itself for this afternoon when Alex Ferguson’s autobiography is launched.
The former Manchester United boss, who spent 26 years in charge at Old Trafford before retiring in May, has written the book with journalist Paul Hayward and is expected to lift the lid on several key events in his career.

A press conference is scheduled for 1pm while the media embargo on its details ends an hour later. The book will then go on general sale on Thursday.
So, what would you like to read about most? His relationship with rival managers such as Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger? His falling out with players like Roy Keane, David Beckham or Wayne Rooney? Or maybe his dispute with John Magnier and JP McManus…?
Love him or hate him you have to admit he was a great manager. He took no sh!t from anyone and got rid of top players when many would have kept them. Prime example was Sven and David Beckham. Sven idolised Beckham while english manager and kept playing him even though he wasn’t on form. None of that nonsense with Ferguson. You have admire the man for that.
I’m not a United fan but I’m looking forward to reading this one. Most of all I hope he talks about how he handled the pressure of the fans expectations. United fans aren’t accustomed to losing as proven this year.
What gave him the drive to carry on after reaching the zenith in 1999 when he led Manchester United to an historic treble? He added another 8 league titles after that and another Champions League, astonishing !
How he thought Massimo Taibi was a good keeper? Did he know about Stams drug problem before selling him, and why he said Rooney put in a transfer request last summer when it appears he did not?
How embarrasing it ever was to listen to the likes of Curbishley, Allardyce, Bruce etc etc bending over to be tickled before and after their team’s capitulaions!
He could take training sessions but felt it better to leave it to his coaching staff – gave him a better overview of players and more time to manage rather than coach. He took the time to look at Manchester United’s youth and reserve teams, worked with the coaches and scouts which resulted in the golden generation that kept him in a job for 25 years and won a ton of silverware!
That he is going to exile himself to a remote island and that he will never speak in public again. It’s only football for Jaysus’ sake! Keane, Beckam, Rooney! Who gives a shit?
I am far from a Utd fan but am looking forward to reading this one and am disappointed to hear that there is very little reference to Rock Of Gibraltar,(one paragraph seemingly), and he refers to it as a regrettable mistake!!!!! That’s putting it mildly as the whole escapade nearly brought the biggest club in world football to its knees. ,aye we will have to wait for Magniers or Desmond’s autos to hear the truth. All well and good Fergie slating off ex and current players but somehow I don’t think he would come out smelling of roses if the truth be told on the Rock.

What made him think that Eric Djemba-Djemba might be a suitable long term replacement for Roy Keane.
Why his jaws still work after years a chewing gum at the speed of lightening and how many times has he bit his tongue doing the above….
Jason – I hope you can afford the legal fees.
Why he cross dresses at night-time and how much wine does it take to get a nose that red.
How it felt to knock Liverpool off there f##king perch …
Yes peter and what he did to celebrate it
What did it feel like crackn a boot into Beckhams head.
I’ll second that
Does he know that Fuel sex organ, Sex fun galore & Relax Fun goes are all anagrams of his name?
Where does he get the extra big watches? You know the ones, they stop after 90 minutes until United scored.
one thing is for sure, as a director at MUFC, he will not tell the truth about the Glazers.
Here is the truth. The Glazers put Manchester in debt. Only for them money grabbers Manchester would off being debt free.
…if it’s true he got out of a speeding ticket by telling police officers he needed to get back to Old Trafford pronto because he was dying for a $hit.
How close he was to signing the likes of shearer, robben, fat Ronaldo etc etc
I bought the Alex Ferguson book and when I got to the end there were six extra pages
His views on metaphysics
Love him or hate him you have to admit he was a great manager. He took no sh!t from anyone and got rid of top players when many would have kept them. Prime example was Sven and David Beckham. Sven idolised Beckham while english manager and kept playing him even though he wasn’t on form. None of that nonsense with Ferguson. You have admire the man for that.
Bebe.
what does he really think of JP McManus?
Man United supporters on standby with their red thumbs…
ok red thumbers, I want all your names!
aw, very little mention of JP in the book..
His battles with Rafa and his ability to be completely hypocritical on so many subjects
Would really like to know how many copies I’ll get as presents for Xmas
I hope he shows his softer side and lets us in on some of his more intimate moments with Mark Halsey and Howard Webb
I wish he’d just disappear.
I wish you’d just disappear
10.
Which brand of gum he used.
Orbit sugar free. Albert Morgan was interviewed about that. He put two packs in Fergie’s pocket before every game
His obituary
I’m not a United fan but I’m looking forward to reading this one. Most of all I hope he talks about how he handled the pressure of the fans expectations. United fans aren’t accustomed to losing as proven this year.

How he thought Massimo Taibi was a good keeper? Did he know about Stams drug problem before selling him, and why he said Rooney put in a transfer request last summer when it appears he did not?
Taibi went on to get ‘keeper of the year in Italy, twice.
What the f*** is David Moyes doing? The same team walked the league last year!!
How much whiskey he needed to drink for his nose to turn red..
His last book was a bit of a whinge-fest. The last book was out around 1999 and I think Man Utd were more interesting pre 1999 than post 99.
how did he feel when the media stopped calling him Alec…
Id like to know exactly what dirt Magnier and McManus had over old red nose that lead to an out of court settlement re Rock of Gibraltar.
Looking forward to see will Peter Pan respond tonight on ITV…
How embarrasing it ever was to listen to the likes of Curbishley, Allardyce, Bruce etc etc bending over to be tickled before and after their team’s capitulaions!
Where does he buy his watches?
Glad to say I haven’t a notion of buying it so couldn’t care less what is in it.
Yet for some reason you felt compelled to comment on the article.
Never really understood people like you.
Sure we all have our problems – lack of understanding a hard one to deal with though!
How easy the horsey men screwed him over
The fact that he could not take a training session to save his life. But be far the best manager ever.
Why it took 26 years to only win 2 European cups
Why he backed Moyes to take over from him!!!!!!!
I rather laugh at 3rd choice languishing in the stands for the next few games and proper order too
That it had to be finished by a second party
Nothing!
Where he buys his watches – and how he makes extra time come out of them
How did Fergie time develop, and how much of his earnings was spent on gum
That he is going to exile himself to a remote island and that he will never speak in public again. It’s only football for Jaysus’ sake! Keane, Beckam, Rooney! Who gives a shit?
Not going to read ole whisky noses’ rantings
A Ferguson to English translator in the back for use during interviews?

Aberdeen and Scotland . The rest we have heard before ad nauseam.
