Look out, Moyesie: Alex Ferguson is updating his autobiography

A year on from releasing the book, Manchester United’s former manager is set to spill the beans on events since his retirement.

ALEX FERGUSON’S AUTOBIOGRAPHY caused quite a stir when it was released last year.

The Scot was five months retired having been at the helm of Manchester United for 26-and-a-half years and lifted the lid on a number of topics including his relationships with high profile former players such as Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy and David Beckham.

A year on, Ferguson is updating the book to include his thoughts on events that took place since he stepped down meaning United’s abysmal season under David Moyes will surely be dissected.

“Sir Alex Ferguson’s autobiography was published in October 2013 and became the fastest-selling non-fiction book since records began,” reads a statement on the club’s site.

“It has now been updated to offer reflections on events at Manchester United since his retirement as well as his teachings at the Harvard Business School, a night at the Oscars and a boat tour around the Hebrides, where he passed unrecognised.

The extra material adds fresh insights and detail on his final years as United’s manager. Both the psychology of management and the detail of football strategy at the top level can be complex matters but no-one has explained them in a more interesting way than Sir Alex does here.

“‘My Autobiography’ is revealing, endlessly entertaining and, above all, inspirational. It will be published in paperback on 23 October 2014.”

Hopefully he’ll get a better ghostwriter this time. I read one chapter (Roy Keane one) and it was like a ten year old had written it!

Paul Hayward…..he was on Skys Sunday Supplement when the book came out and got absolutely rinsed by Patrick Barclay for the spineless, hand held way he didnt push Ferguson to explain his faults and often despicable behaviour.that show alone convinced me not to go near a book i was actually looking forward to……it’ll be the same when the update arrives

He must be missing the limelight badly, starved of attention these days. This must be his 3rd or 4th book, catching up with Jordan and posh spice
