BOHEMIANS CAME AWAY from Tallaght Stadium with a hard-earned point thanks to Ryan McEvoy’s goal injury time.
The Hoops had gone ahead eight minutes from full-time in highly controversial fashion. A cross found its way to the back post, where Bohs defender Andy Mulligan accidentally kicked the ball off his face while trying to clear.
Astonishingly, referee Neil Doyle pointed to the spot – awarding the penalty for a handball. Ronan Finn, who was arguably the Hoops’ best player on the night, then buried what looked to be the winning goal from 12 yards.
Aaron Callaghan’s side dug deep, however, and fully deserved the equaliser when it did eventually arrive. A loose ball fell to the edge of the box and 22-year-old mifielder McEvoy struck first time on the half-volley to beat Barry Murphy in the Rovers goal.
Derry City let a two-goal lead slip at Hunky Dorys Park and needed Rory Patterson to rescue three points at the death against Drogheda United.

Bray enjoyed a massive away win at Turner’s Cross – beating Cork City 3-1.
The game was only three minutes old when John Mulroy put the Seagulls ahead and, although teenager Danny Morrissey equalised for the Rebels, a Kieran ‘Marty’ Waters brace secured a much-needed victory.
In the final Premier Division game, UCD drew 1-1 with Limerick at the UCD Bowl. Shane Tracy and Robbie Benson were the scorers.
The First Division saw wins for Athlone Town, Wexford Youths and Finn Harps.
