Here’s the key GAA club fixtures for the week ahead

There’s plenty on the agenda this weekend in the AIB provincial club championships.

THE FIRST PROVINCIAL finals of the 2013 AIB senior club championships take place this Sunday.

Reigning champions St Brigid’s are bidding for their fifth Connacht title – all of which have been claimed since 2006. Opponents Castlebar Mitchels previously won this competition back in 1993.

In Munster, Clare’s Sixmilebridge bid for their fourth provincial senior hurling crown against a Na Piarsaigh side who won the title previously in 2011.

The semi-finals of the Leinster senior football championship are also down for decision on Sunday.

Sunday

Connacht SFC final: St Brigid’s (Roscommon) v Castlebar Mitchels (Mayo), Dr Hyde Park, 2pm.

Munster SHC final: Sixmilebridge (Clare) v Na Piarsaigh (Limerick), Cusack Park, Ennis, 2pm.

Leinster SFC semi-finals: Portlaoise (Laois) v Moorefield (Kildare), O’Moore Park, Portlaoise, 2pm; St Vincent’s (Dublin) v Summerhill (Meath), Parnell Park, 2pm.

In the intermediate grade this weekend, there are two provincial finals down for decision.

Recently retired Cork senior footballer Paudie Kissane will be in action for Clyda Rovers in the Munster decider on Saturday.

While Kilkenny hurler Kieran Joyce will be trying to steer Rower-Inistioge to Leinster glory on Sunday.

Saturday

Munster IFC final: Clyda Rovers (Cork) v St Joseph’s Milltown-Malbay (Clare), Gaelic Grounds, 2pm.

Sunday

Leinster IHC  final: Buffers Alley (Wexford) v The Rower Inistioge (Kilkenny), Bellefield, Enniscorthy, 2pm.

In the junior grade, the action is focused on Munster and Leinster this weekend.

Saturday

Munster JFC semi-final: Keel (Kerry) v Mount Sion (Waterford), Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney

Sunday

Leinster special club JHC final: Castleknock (Dublin) v Mountmellick (Laois), Somerton Park, Castleknock, 2pm.

Munster JFC semi-final: Feohanagh/Castlemahon (Limerick) v Coolmeen (Clare), Coolyroe, 2pm

Munster JHC semi-final: Ballysaggart (Waterford) v Knockshegowna (Tipperary), Fraher Field, Dungarvan, 2pm.

Second child is born on a Friday, win an Ulster semi-final on a Sunday
