Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj scores a 25-yard belter

The Belgian teenager found the back of the net for the reserves in their 4-0 win over Bolton last night.

18-YEAR-OLD ADNAN Januzaj has been getting a run in the first team during the opening months of the season but was last night back in reserve team for the Manchester Senior Cup final against Bolton.

After Will Keane had opened the scoring, the Belgian prospect cut inside from the right flank and let fly with a cracking drive into the top corner.

Summer signing Wilfried Zaha was also on target in the 4-0 win.

Not really. Why are the Dutch not performing as well? Belgium have had great players for years but for the first time in my lifetime they are not being snapped up by other countries, opt to play for the other nations they can play for and there’s currently no fighting between the Flemish and French speaking supporters. Just one nation supporting brilliant players like Courtois, Fellaini, Lukaku, De Bruyne, Hazard, Kompany, Vertonghen, Buffel, Vossen, Witsel, Mignolet, Defour, Benteke, Bakkali, etc, etc.

United seem reluctant to give any of there younger players a good run in the side, Pogba has been a regular with Juventus since he joined them yet couldn’t get a look in with united who are struggling for quality midfielders.

Lets hope he signs a new long term contract and not get persuaded by money grabbing agents that swayed Pogba to leave. I admit Pogba is doing well for Juve now but United helped to develop that talent from when he signed from Le Harve which in turn attracted outside attention. His advisors and agents made big money from him going to Juve. I wouldn’t want the same situation to happen for Januzaj.
Pogba would have been a regular first team player and probably a starter by now and Januzaj is not far off that at the moment

Utd better play him and not lose him like they did with Pogba. He is a great prospect. Makes you wonder why they bought Zaha when they knew he was coming through the ranks as he seems to offer more.

Hope he gets more playing time with the first team. I heard him giving an interview during pre season and he was saying he wanted to stay with united and break into the first team in the next two seasons. Hopefully he will be a good player for the future.
I also like young Lindergard( on loan with Birmingham for a month).
I have learned not to read into the hype surrounding youth players so I will see how they develop in the next year or so…
