Tipperary to face Dublin or Kilkenny in All-Ireland hurling qualifiers

Clare will meet Laois in the other phase two clash.

THE DRAW FOR Phase 2 of the All-Ireland senior hurling qualifiers has pitted Tipperary against the losers of next Saturday’s Leinster championship replay between Dublin and Kilkenny.

And Tipperary will have to travel for that clash with their Leinster opponents set to get home advantage.

The other tie pits Clare against Laois with the Banner men to have home advantage.

The draw took place this morning on RTE Radio 1 on Morning Ireland.

And the glamour draw involved Tipperary being pitted against either Dublin or Kilkenny, who drew 1-14 to 0-17 yesterday in Portlaoise and will return to O’Moore Park next Saturday to replay their Leinster semi-final encounter.

The losing Munster semi-finalists and losing Leinster semi-finalists were kept in opposite pots and were drawn to face each other with the clashes set to take place on July 6th.

The winners of the Phase 2 games will advance to the Phase 3 games on July 13th. There they will meet the winners of the Phase 1 encounters that take place next Saturday when Westmeath entertain Waterford and Wexford take on Carlow.
