9 people who are not happy with the RTE soccer panel tonight

Twitter was largely unimpressed by the analysis of Dunphy and co this evening.

TWITTER WAS LESS than impressed with the efforts of Eamon Dunphy, John Giles and Kenny Cunningham, who were analysing the Bayern-Arsenal game for RTE this evening.

After the match, the talk – as it often does – turned to the state of world football.

And Dunphy, in particular, was in typically provocative form, claiming Brazil and Argentina have only one player between them who most teams would “covet” – Lionel Messi, while also implying Liverpool aren’t a “proper” club.

Check out all the reaction below as the inevitable controversy transpired.

  • You have to hand it to Dunphy. He has made a career out of taking the opposite views of the entire football world. Everyone says its white Dunphy says its black. Think Roy Keane has realised there is money to be made from this approach to punditry. Learned something of him while he was ghost writing his autobiography…
