GET YOUR THINKING caps on — Dublin City Council have asked the public for their help in naming the capital’s newest bridge.
Construction is ongoing on the bridge in Dublin’s city centre which will cross the Liffey and link Marlborough Street and Hawkins Street.
To get the ball rolling, we’ve picked out five famous sporting Dubs as a preliminary shortlist for the naming committee.
Who would you like to see the bridge named after? (It doesn’t have to be a sporting personality, of course…)
1. Kevin Heffernan
The legend of Dublin GAA, who won one All-Ireland as a player and three as a manager, died earlier this year.
