JASON MCATEER WAS in Dublin last week as a guest of Newstalk Sport Saturday‘s latest roadshow.
As well as filling listeners in on why he picked up the nickname ‘Trigger’ during his spell with the Ireland set-up, one-third of the ‘Three Amigos’ of USA ’94 also relived a memory which he says epitomised the side’s sense of cameraderie at that time.
It may not be European Championship-related, or even true for that matter, but he does tell it well. We’ll give him that.
