16 counties to be in opening All-Ireland football qualifier draw on Monday

The first round ties are scheduled to take place on June 29th.

SIXTEEN COUNTIES WILL be in the draw for the first round qualifiers of the 2013 All-Ireland senior football championship, which takes place next Monday morning.

The draw is set to be broadcast live on Morning Ireland on RTÉ Radio 1.

The pairings for the eight first round ties will be determined by this draw with the games set to take place on Saturday June 29th.

Fourteen counties are already in the the draw with the remaining two to be identified this weekend.

Meath face Wicklow in tomorrow night’s Leinster quarter-final in Aughrim with the losers of that game to head to the qualifiers and the losers of Sunday’s Ulster quarter-final between Fermanagh and Cavan in Enniskillen.

The counties already in the draw are Limerick and Tipperary, the losers of the Munster quarter-finals, and the two losers of the first round ties in Connacht, Sligo and Galway.

From Leinster the counties in the draw are first round losers Laois, Longford and Carlow and the three teams who have lost the quarter-finals to date – Louth, Westmeath and Offaly.

The Ulster sides involved are preliminary round losers Armagh and the trio of Tyrone, Derry and Antrim who all lost their provincial quarter-finals.
