OTB5

11 ways the world has changed since the Off The Ball 5 were last on the air

It’s two months since the last Challenge Murph, you guys.

IT’S NOW TWO months since the so-called Off The Ball 5 signed off for the last time on Newstalk.

The show has gone on at the station, of course, and will continue to do so but sports fans up and down the country are still wondering where the next stop is for the OTB5. We reported yesterday that they’ll make an announcement on Tuesday on the subject of their new home.

When they do return it’ll be to a post-Deccie and JLS reality. Here’s what’s changed since they left Digges Lane.

1. Frankie Sadlier passed away, sadly

Former Tuesday night soccer expert, Richie, confirmed his beautiful Victorian bulldog died on 30 March.

2. The first high-profile gay pro-sports person has come out

Take a bow, Jason Collins.

3. We finally heard Stephen Cluxton speak

It’s like Gerry Adams and Section 31 all over again.

4. Steve Williams won another major

Getinthehole, Stevie kid!

5. Que? Barcelona lost a 90 minute game of Association Football 4-0.

And then another one 3-0. We worship Bayern Munich now.

6. J-Biebs has gone off the rails altogether

There was some funny fags found in his tour bus and he wrote the most inane message ever in the visitors’ book at Anne Frank’s house.

7. Luis Suarez showed his teeth

Hopefully we’ll have the OTB5 back before his ban ends around Halloween.

8. Tiger Woods and Lindsey totally started dating

Woowoo!

9. Deccie’s gone and Joe’s in

10. United have #20

And then they hit the town.

11. We saw Simon Hick with his top off

And immediately felt inadequate/warm inside/confused.

What else has changed?
